This dramatic bathroom transformation started with the remnants of what was a classic 1900s style bathroom. Besides the fact that the bathroom hadn’t been updated since the original construction, the claw foot tub and fully enclosed narrow shower made the bathroom feel dark and cramped.
Bathroom Remodeling, RI: Prepare to be Wowed!
In the new design, we opened up the plan by eliminating the dark closed-in shower and claw foot tub and replacing them with a deep soaking tub/shower combination. We installed a new sink with a custom designed marble top and stand, and we relocated the radiator under the window. We worked closely with the homeowners (both artists) to lay out the tile for a well-balanced design that isn’t too busy.
The result incorporated the best aspects of the original bathroom while opening up the space and providing a much more user-friendly bath.

In our next blog post, we'll share part 2 in this story...the homeowners had a third floor that needed a bathroom. Stay tuned.
