Elegant Entryways: Tips, Tricks, and Photos

Ah, elegant entryways! They're often the focal point as people pull up to your home. (Just make sure it's for the right reasons.) We thought we'd share some pics of entryways we did at Hebert Design/Build and that we're especially proud of, along with some tips to consider as you're thinking about the entryways for your home.

Think bold colors on front doors.

Bright, bold colors are eye-catching and can offer a subtle hint to the decor people will find once they cross your threshold, as is the case with this beautiful blue door. See the blue walls and blue tiles on the floor inside the foyer?

Think classic touches, like columns.

Sometimes it's those extra touches -- like the columns in the front of this house -- that can make a huge difference. (The color of the front door helps, too!)

Don't underestimate the power of landscaping.

Custom front steps, doors, and banisters are always lovely, but the right flowers and landscaping can add an extra dose of elegance, whimsy, romance, or whatever "look" you're going for.
